So many 'LEO' friends, (i'm surrounded by " LIONS"....keke..) and celebrated birthday with them, and taken many pictures, but i cant seem to post it up.... WTF.... Aih.... Oh, well... See if i can post it up later.......

S.A.T.U.R.D.A.Y.

Yesterday, my boss decided to belanja all of us lunch at ISLAND RED CAFE, situated Dataran Pahlawan. Never been to this cafe before, and its still new, just opened here. The food is not bad, quite nice also, and the price is resonable... Normal cafe price... hehe....

After lunch with my colleague, i went off to meet waileng on the mission to find a dress for her to wear on her birthday!! haha... But we ended up eating layer cake at Nadeje in pahlawan....lol Didnt went there before, haha.... have to go try their famous layer cake... its not bad, but cant eat much coz will feel like vomiting... i think is because of the strong milky taste....

After eating, we went to some boutique then back home.... So, in the end, our mission to find a dress failed! hahaha...

Say NO to RM100!!!!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! There i said it.... MMU (Multimedia University) is gonna charge us an additional RM100 for IT services fee decided to impose on students starting the academic year 2008/2009!!!! Wat the...??!!! First, there's the HIGHER PARKING FEE, then there's the LIBRARY FEE, and now IT SERVICES FEE???!!

IT services fee is for the maintenance fees of MMLS, course registration system, wireless services and other online services... and the CITS cant even guarantee that after we paid the RM100, the problems we encountered before will be solved. Heck, then why should we even bother to pay the RM100(which is A LOT!!!!) for it. I personally think that even is we do pay them, the problems will still be there. Anyway, enough of my ranting..., here are some of the controversial issues posted on the petition website....


1. Although the students from both of the campuses will be charged the same fee, Cyberjaya campus will get a better service in terms of bandwidth increment (from 34 Mbps to 100 Mbps). This is because the hardware of Cyberjaya campus is more advanced than us and our hardware is not able to support the 100 Mbps bandwidth (Cyberjaya's hardware can support up to 400 Mbps while ours can only support up till 100 Mbps).


2. Not every student is using the wireless service.


3. CITS cannot guarantee that after the imposition of the IT services fee, all the flaws that we encountered before (e.g. system down during the course registration period) can be solved once and for all.


4. Number of concurrent connections to the web services such as MMLS and course registration may or may not be increased. If it is not increased, the increase in bandwidth would not make much of a difference as the number of users allowed to access the said websites will still remain the same. As such, at high usage periods (i.e. before/during exam for MMLS & course registration days) students will still have the problem of not being able to access the websites. It would be akin to widening the roads but still having the same number of exits – You’ll get to the exits/entrances (i.e. websites) faster. Once there, you’ll have to wait in line (for countless hours) just as before.

Changing of company

Yup, the title above says it all... I've decided to change our training company... By "our", i mean me, luowen and daphne, all three of us. Luowen and daphne, both hold a marketing post, meanwhile i hold an admin post, like i mention before....

So, i'll just keep the long story short. They are kinda under the pressure of finding sales/business for company, reach a sales target (RM3000/month) and if they not, there is a consequences that the report is not gonna be nice, probably will fail! So, they decided to leave the company, if they both leave i might as well follow them, no point working there alone anyway.. Luckily, i manage to get my salary for the month that i worked for... :)

Thanks to a special person, really gratefull for his help, that we manage to find a job at such a short notice...hehe... and he keep on saying that he doesnt want anymore refugees...haha... he can be sooooo cute sometimes! :) Really thanks a lot.. :P All three of us just adore him so much....haha, am sure u all (luowen & Daphne) agrees with me rite?? *wink*

P/s-today gonna be the 1st day working at the new company, am kinda nervous.... dunno wat its gonna be like... hmmm......

Experiencing the Life of a Sales Marketer for A Day....

Im actually on training for 4 months, and i still have 3months, 1 week, and 4 days more till its finally OVER!! Aih.... Hated working life, gonna appreciates life as a student more after this training... And i'll probably miss exams....OMG!!! lol..... My job is actually very simple, involved typing, filing, fax documents, scan pictures, etc... Those are admin jobs.... My other 2 friends, luowen and daphne however, (trainees also) are doing marketing job.. They need to go out and find sales or business for the company. Compared to mine, i think their job is much more tougher, after i had the opportunity to go out with them for a day to find sales, that's bacau i've finished my job, and the boss is outstation and i have nothing else to do, so i decided to follow them...hhaha...

We first went to Melaka Raya, to do wat?? To hav our BREAKFAST!!! lol....We had our breakfast at OLD TASTE. Frankly lo, the food is so so, not very nice... I had a "peanut butter toast" with a cup of "old taste white coffee".. the toast is too sweet, and the coffee is terrible, TERRIBLE I TELL YOU!!!! Its very bitter and not sweet at all, taste so weird, my house '3 in 1' coffee is nicer, and cheaper lor....

Then we went Plaza Mahkota. Walk into shops that could be our potential customer, but not muct success as many owner/person-in-charge is not available, dunno got bluff us anot... Then we reast awhile at Newton Village near Mahkota Parade... Believe it anot, this is the first time i went inside newton, despite being a melakan..hahaha.. Friends alwiays says tat im melakan ppl, but wat oso dunno...haha....

After our drinks, we went to Jonker, to find more business... The weather is so DAMN HOT LOR!! All three of use keep on sweating...lol.... We walk here and walk there... After that, we decided to end the day, to go back to the office, but before that we decided to go eat the famouse cendol at Jonker. And that's where we got LOST!!!!! OMG!!! Wan find the stall oso so hard ah.... Hav to ask ppl, then finally get thr... *fainted* After our cendol session, we wanted to go buy cheese tart before we went back...Daphne said the cheese tart is very nice, so i decided to giv it a try, turns out im not a fan of cheese tart!!! lol... And the tart is quite expensive lor.. RM2.40 for 1 tart!!

After all of this, we went back to the office. . Thus end my day as a sales marketer for 1 day..hehe.. Overall, i think the maketer 's job is real tough. have to be under the hot sun for a long time, and have to have very good communication skills and know how to response and persuade customers....haha... Im more suitable for admin job... :)

International Trade: A Global Phenomenon

This event happened some time ago, in early april.. This is the first event organized by IB major students (I-CAN), including me...hehe... A series of event were carried out, first there is DEBATE on 1st April, followed by FORUM on 9th April and VIDEO AND DRAMA PRESENTATION also on 9th April 2008. Overall, i think we did okay, despite all the problems, arguments, fighting, crying, shouting, etc.... Ooh... drama, Drama, DRAMA!!! Okay, enough of writing!! RANDOM PHOTOS!!!!! :)
